Marked Religiosity

So weird stream of events have ensued today. . . .
First I stopped by the mass communications library and took a look at the periodicals. I skimmed over the Richmond Times-Dispatch and notice that there was an article that summarizd the sentence of a priest to 13 years in federal prison and an enormous restitution upwards of $200,000. Apparently he was being sentenced for smuggling money from the church as well as living a second life with a wife. The celibate Catholic priest apparently wasn't so abstinant any more. The story was interesting with me as so many churches, especially Catholic, have reported corruption today.
Flash to an hour later I am in the library sitting next to two(count them) evangelists know-it-alls, talking about revelations and God abounding in dreams. It was just a little creepy to have both near misses with the subject of God and faith so close to one another.
I also just remembered that yesterday I had an encounter with the opposite of the spectrum, as I had an sufficiently akward conversation with the leader of the secular group on campus. He seemed adamant about his convictions toward the religious, but at the same time he had the same creepy vibes that I received from the two Jesus freaks that were sitting beside me at the library. Well, off to mass comm 101.
