Awoken

Am I.

To the fact.

The truth.

And there you are,

Sleeping.

Ahhhhhh

The sounds of breath sweeping

in and out

in and out

 Unaware of what is occurring

What is happening

Right under your nose.

Not nervous?

Not Scared?

Not afraid of what lurks

What is waiting in the night

The serpent looms

The satiable snake will bear the fangs

That release the liquid of insanity

Driven into darkness

Without direction or guidance.

Awoken

Am I.

see the glistening star\

feel the earth below and the sky above

I rejoice in knowing I can see what you cannot

What you are blind to.

What you choose to dream about

Ah the frosted mountains and soft-as-cotton trees

Seeming to stretch infinitely

 over hill and valley

To the horizon

Which you never see.

The horizon is only all too familiar

It is the end of a vision that

Only I may be awoken.
