Election

Despite the fact that I was morbidly late today for work at 6am. . .they were still unusually nice to me! Besides being pulled aside at one point and talked to about some "no call no show nonsense" in which I didn't show up for one of my shifts, work was great. The thing about the no show is that I actually justified it because I said that I had put that day as unavailable for those hours on my application back when I applied so I should not have been scheduled for that day ANYWAY.
Heh.
I get away with a lota shit.
SO I talked with Mary today. Really nice.
Miss her. Miss VA and the surroundings. Not too much longer in New York before I am free of this "rat race" city.
That is really the best way to describe this city infested with the vermin that feed on the exclusive nature of material.
Food.
Clothing.
Parties.
Nature.
Life.
It's all a frenzy here.
To get the best the fastest.
And still have time to brag about it to friends.
Its not necessarily negative but it is not what I want to be surrounded with during college.
Elections-
It's funny.
Silly almost.
How elections are so publicized and so subjective in society.
There is soo much skewed information and aspects of the polling, counting, and reapportioning that they don't tell us in the raw numbers or colors that are spilled onto graphs. I almost feel like just not bothering with taking notice in any of these statistical graphs and displays that are for the most part completely arbitrary.
Alas, In the words of the famous words of Steven Morrissey, "I am Human", and I must sit here glued to the ethereal screen, with its numbers and colors.
Silly, yes.
Now I must settle in as I have an early morning tomorrow full of events.
